This site is dedicated to the memory of Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey, and the twenty one wonderful films they made together for RKO Studios, from 1929 to 1937.

You can help by requesting their films from Turner Classic Movies, who owns most of their catalog, but only sporadically schedules their films for airplay.

Who Are Wheeler and Woolsey?

Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey were loved by literally millions of movie fans around the entire world in the 1930′s. They did 21 feature films together and saved RKO Studios from bankruptcy. They were also RKO’s biggest money makers when the RKO stable included Cary Grant, Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers, Kathryn Hepburn, Barbara Stanwyck, and a host of other greats.

About This Site

This site is a work in progress. We’ve just transferred it to WordPress, so it will be easier to edit, and so we can hear back from other Wheeler and Woolsey fans via the comments.   We are in the process of bringing over material from the old site, plus greatly expanding the content with new pictures, video links, reviews, biographical information, commemorative merchandise and more. Please keep checking back as we build.

Most of the pictures you will find on this site are thumbnail images, which have been reduced in size in order to improve load time and to fit nicely into the design. In most cases, if you click on the pictures, you will then be taken to a larger, more representative view.
